SpaceX to launch 2nd batch of satellites from Cape Canaveral

SpaceX plans to take its next step this month in building a constellation of satellites capable of providing high-speed internet around the world. 

About 60 satellites will be carried to space on the Hawthorne, California-based company’s Falcon 9 rocket as part of SpaceX’s Starlink program. The rocket will launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station no earlier than Oct. 17, according to the launch schedule maintained by the Space Coast Office of Tourism.
