‘Not your grandma’s Tupperware’: This exec creates products for astronauts

Tupperware products can be found in many places outside the refrigerator — sometimes as far away as outer space.

The Orlando-based manufacturer of food storage products has been working with NASA on a unique project known as PONDS (Passive Orbital Nutrient Delivery System), a product that helps astronauts grow fruits and vegetables in space. For its work, Tupperware Brands Corp. (NYSE: TUP) in September was named a finalist in Fast Company magazine’s 2019 Innovation by Design awards, which honor creative problem-solving work by businesses. Read more here.
