Lake Nona’s autonomous shuttle to launch service

In just a few weeks, Lake Nona will be one of the first Central Florida neighborhoods with autonomous shuttle service. 

Orlando-based Beep on Sept. 4 will host a launch event to debut its new public transit service in southeast Orlando’s Lake Nona neighborhood. The shuttles, which can carry 10 passengers and an attendant, will travel at a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour between the Lake Nona Town Center at the Pixon apartments and Laureate Park Village Center on Tavistock Lakes Boulevard, according to Lake Nona’s website.
