New Church Street property owners to breathe life back into iconic downtown buildings

    The new owners of a historic downtown Orlando landmark have plans to revitalize it — though they’re not quite sure how that will play out.

    One thing longtime Kress building owner Robert Yeager and Ocala developer Danny Gaekwad do know is that they want the Church Street Exchange and Church Street Station properties to create jobs — and be less “boring.”

    The duo still is trying to get its “arms around the buildings” and seek tenants to fill about 12,000 to 13,000 square feet of vacant office space in the Exchange building, said Yeager, president of Orlando-based Sullivan Properties Inc
