The University of Central Florida has strengthened a partnership with a 3-year-old nonprofit for entrepreneurs so it can continue to grow in downtown Orlando.
UCF reached an agreement with Canvs’ former landlord — TSLF Church Street Retail LLC, an entity related to Boston-based landlord Tremont Realty Capital — for the 17,189-square-foot Canvs co-working space in the Church Street Exchange building on 101 S. Garland Ave., where Canvs and its related programs operate.
The university signed off on a sole-source contract — a contract in which only one person or company can provide the services needed, in this case Tremont Realty — on Nov. 17.
