One of South Florida’s leading technology firms will expand its research and development operations in Miami, resulting in a flood of new job opportunities in the area.
Reef Technology on Monday said it would hire 1,000 workers in “nearly every division,” including research & development and business operations, over three years. The Miami-based ghost kitchen and logistics hub company currently has 2,400 workers in Miami-Dade County. It is among the region’s startups to reach “unicorn” status with a $1 billion-plus valuation from backers including SoftBank.
