Donna Mackenzie said she was expecting 30 to 40 applicants for Orlando’s first seed fund accelerator, but the local tech startup community is more interested in it than she thought.
Since opening the application process on April 5 and closing it May 5, the FireSpring evergreen seed fund got 116 applications. Mackenzie made the announcement during Starter Studio’s fifth demo day on May 19 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
