Ed Baldwin was hoping his business organization advisory firm ProfileGorilla would get some help when he signed on as a creator for the inaugural One Spark crowdfunding festival in downtown Jacksonville in 2013.

And it did, Baldwin said.

That’s why he was taken aback when the main financial backer of the event, local businessman Peter Rummell, said last week that he will no longer be the main money source for One Spark, which puts the event’s future in question.
