Thousands of people descended on the Mana Wynwood Convention Center Friday for the first official day of Bitcoin 2021, a two-day event billed as the world’s largest-ever conference of its kind.
Attendees began lining up outside of the convention center before 8 a.m. and spanned multiple blocks by the time the event started an hour later. Conference organizers said they expected 12,000 people to attend on Friday and up to 20,000 over the weekend.
