Ryan Cohen, the 32-year-old co-founder of Chewy.com, has stepped down as CEO of the online pet-product company.
In a statement, Chewy corporate parent PetSmart Inc. attributed the change in leadership to Cohen’s “desire to step back from running [Chewy] after the relentless pace of the last seven years,” as the company skyrocketed from a startup operating out of a South Florida strip mall to a billion-dollar competitor of Amazon.com.
