General Provision, a coworking space and business incubator in Fort Lauderdale’s FAT Village, has begun offering intensive software development training.

The 10-week coding bootcamp launched its inaugural class this week. It is a collaboration between General Provision and Covalence Coding Academy, a coding bootcamp that offers both online and in-person courses, with locations in Nashville, Tennessee, and Birmingham, Alabama.

For $9,500, students enrolled in General Provision’s coding bootcamp are taught the software coding languages JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Graduates leave the program with the skills necessary to earn jobs as junior-level developers, a position that in South Florida comes with an average starting salary of about $55,000, according to Glassdoor.
