Magic Leap’s long-anticipated expansion to a second South Florida location was officially announced Wednesday as a result of an incentives deal brokered by local government agencies and the state of Florida.
The startup will now operate both its original location in Dania Beach and a 260,000-square-foot facility in Plantation that previously housed a Motorola factory. The new outpost, its “R&D Center of Excellence,” will create 725 jobs locally and include a $150 million capital investment.
