Why these firms are teaming up with UCF on Sanford Burnham asset takeover

The University of Central Florida is upholding its reputation as “the partnership university” with its plans to collaborate with industry leaders to take over the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute’s Lake Nona facility.

UCF, which is proposing to turn the 173,476-square-foot institute into a comprehensive cancer center, will have multiple partners in the building as well in Medical City.

The university wants to work with Provision Healthcare LLC, HCA’s Sarah Cannon Research Institute and Illinois-based development and investment company Alter+Care.
