University of South Florida spent nearly half-a-billion dollars on research and development activities in 2014, more than almost every other academic institution in the state.

Only University of Florida, with $708.5 million in R&D expenditures last year, topped USF.

R&D spending for the past five years by colleges and universities in Florida is detailed in a new report from InternetCoast in Boca Raton.
