    A local startup backed by a prominent Silicon Valley firm has closed on a new round of funding.

    Back Office, a bookkeeping and accounting software for small- and medium-sized businesses, on Thursday announced a $1.8 million seed round led by San Antonio-based Active Capital, bringing its total funding to about $2.2 million, co-founder Felix Rodriguez told the Business Journal.
