Vinik-backed effort aims to turn people with ‘a little bit of crazy’ into successful entrepreneurs

The Tampa Bay Innovation Hub is on track to launch in early 2019 at Channelside Bay Plaza in downtown Tampa.

Once open, it will become the central energy for the Tampa Bay technology community, CEO Lakshmi Shenoy told about 100 people at the Junior League of Tampa’s corporate breakfast May 10.

“We want to make Tampa Bay a prime destination for diverse startup talent to make an impact, both professionally and personally,” Shenoy said. “We all know Tampa Bay is a great place to live, but not enough people think of Tampa Bay as a great place to grow a company. We can rely on the Tampa Bay Innovation Hub to do the heavy lifting to raise the profile of Tampa Bay, so that people know it is this prime destination for diverse startup talent.”
