USF to establish national transportation center with $7.5M grant

The University of South Florida has been chosen to create the only center focused on traffic congestion relief in the nation.

USF received a $7.5 million grant to create the National Institute for Congestion Reduction, which will be housed in the USF College of Engineering’s Center for Urban Transportation Research. The grant comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation, after USF beat out over 50 applicants for the funds.
