A medical tech firm confirmed today that it is relocating its New York headquarters to Orlando — a decision that will create 55 high-wage jobs. But currently, the company has not yet decided on a definitive location in Orlando.
SMRxT Inc. CEO Mike Huffer told the Orlando Business Journal that the company right now is in Central Florida, in a temporary space. Huffer, who would not give the location for the space SMRxT currently is in, said he expects to relocate to a more permanent space in Orlando in 2016.
SMRxT Inc., a company that creates pill bottles outfitted with smart sensor technology that monitors and quantifies the time and dose when a patient has taken their medication, is creating 55 jobs that have an annual salary of $63,906. Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced on Dec. 29 the company’s confirmed relocation and job creation, noting that it would have a capital investment of $582,000 in the local community.
