UF needs state money for Sanford Burnham transfer, report says

The University of Florida will need $3.7 million each year from the state to take over Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in Lake Nona, a report says.

UF’s business model calls for no state money for the first two years, but after, UF would need $3.7 million dollars in state money annually to pay for operations and maintenance of the 300,000-square-foot research center in Medical City, WMFE reports.
