Tech company closing Tampa office, 178 will lose jobs


    A tech company with a focus on military contracts is shutting its Tampa branch after less than two years.

    Virginia-based Iron Bow Technologies will close the branch beginning June 28 with a final closure to be completed by July 15, according to a letter sent to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. According to the letter, the branch housed 178 employees, who will all be laid off. The employees are not in a union and the layoffs will be permanent.
