ConnectWise, which bills itself as the most successful technology company in the Tampa Bay area, has hired 147 new employees since February 2014 using state grant money as an incentive to draw and hire top talent.
Gov. Rick Scott congratulated the company Tuesday morning, posing for photos with the employees and calling out ConnectWise as a business management platform that helps streamline company operations for 100,000 users.
“There’s been a big focus on STEM during the last five years,” Scott said, referring to education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. “It helps companies like ConnectWise succeed in Florida” by having talent readily available, he said.
