The Miami-based artificial intelligence startup that sought to evolve facial recognition software to be more sensitive to cultural and racial differences has removed its CEO.
Brian Brackeen, who founded Kairos Inc., was terminated from the role and has engaged an attorney to challenge the termination. He did not respond to the Business Journal‘s request for comment.
Melissa Doval has been appointed as interim CEO. In addition to maintaining her responsibilities as Kairos’ CFO, she will manage the company’s day-to-day operations until a permanent successor is appointed.
