South Florida biotech companies to pitch investors at state conference

From treating disease to healing wounds, two biotech companies from South Florida will seek to impress judges with their products and business plans at BioFlorida’s annual conference Oct. 11 to 13 in Orlando.

The companies are Aegle Therapeutics in Miami and Asana Medical in Miami Lakes.

Aegle Therapeutics is developing a drug or other treatment based on its proprietary adult stem cell technology to promote healing. Aegle is focused on using its technology to develop treatments for burns, wounds, scarring, orthopedic injuries and certain rare diseases.
