San Francisco clean tech company, with research facilities at USF, closes on $25M funding round


    A San Francisco-based clean technology firm that has research and development facilities at the University of South Florida has closed a $25 million round of funding.

    Molekule, which has patented air purification technology, announced Thursday it closed the Series B funding round, led by Foundry Group with participation from existing investors Crosslink Capital and Uncork Capital.

    Founded in 2014, Molekule plans to use the financing to expand its product line, scale manufacturing and grow the team, it said in a release announcing the funding.
