Miami-based SmartHop, an artificial intelligence-powered platform for small trucking companies, secured $12 million in a Series A financing round led by New York-based Union Square Ventures.
RyderVentures, a new $50 million venture capital fund led by Miami logistics giant Ryder System (NYSE: R); New York-based Equal Ventures; and New York-based Greycroft also participated in the fundraising round.
