Private aviation company seeks $966,000 in incentives from Fort Lauderdale and Florida

A company described as the “Uber of private aviation” is seeking $960,000 in economic incentives from the city of Fort Lauderdale and the state.

The unidentified company could only be JetSmarter, a Fort Lauderdale company begun by Sergey Petrossov three years ago that has already raised $52 million in private investment to expand the private jet market.

When asked about the incentives, JetSmarter spokesman Ronn Torossian said the company is “excited to partner with the City of Fort Lauderdale and the State of Florida to create many jobs in the region. As a fast-growing technology company we expect to create hundreds of jobs.”
