If a poor Cuban kid from Miami can become a global rap star and lead a worldwide business empire, certainly South Florida can build on its considerable strengths to become the tech hub for the Americas.
That was the message Tuesday from mega-star Pitbull, born Armando Christian Perez. He closed out the eMerge Americas TechWeek conference with advice to fellow entrepreneurs to learn from mentors, develop branding and above all, work hard with a long-term view.
“We’re here building history,” Pitbull told participants at eMerge, backing its goal for South Florida to become a tech hub. “Short steps, long vision: You apply that, I promise you are going to be successful.” Read more here.
