An Orlando-based startup that helps events better gather photos from smartphone-wielding guests will be featured at a global conference geared toward empowering entrepreneurs — a spot reserved for only 40 companies.
Snapshots LLC’s CEO Jonathan Dantes told the Orlando Business Journal that the team of less than 10 employees was selected as one of the 40 companies to showcase at Startup Grind Global Conference in Silicon Valley. The Google-powered event will last from Feb. 23-24, and will feature 64 speakers engaging with thousands of attendees. The speakers include a mix of both successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
Snapshots, which was founded in 2013 and is venture-backed by well-known local tech entrepreneur Jonathan Taylor, will have the chance to be showcased to more than 200 investors, meet with more than 3,000 people who could become potential customers and possibly be selected to deliver a pitch on stage. Already, Snapshots has thousands of users.
