Orlando tech firm CEO talks expansion, biz diversity and touring with J.Cole

There’s a good chance Les Goldberg has carried multiple backstage passes to a concert featuring your favorite music artist or entertainer, but he probably wasn’t there to collect an autograph. He may have been too busy calling the shots to work the lights and visual effects that his company provides.

“Right now, we’re touring with J.Cole,” said Goldberg, CEO of LMG LLC, an Orlando-based tech firm that provides video, audio and LED lighting support for events. “I was just at his show a couple nights ago,” he said about attending the popular hip-hop artist’s concert in Tampa on Aug. 16.

Goldberg can name-drop plenty of other artists his company is currently working with, as well: The Smashing Pumpkins, Casting Crowns, Third Eye Blind, Lindsey Stirling and more. All of those shows add up to the 3,000 to 5,000 shows Goldberg said his company works on per year. That’s probably why LMG is planning to add 50,000 square feet to its Orlando location on 2350 Investors Row — a development that will be completed in February 2016. Currently, the location is 108,000 square feet.
