The city of Orlando has decided to seek ideas on how to best support the local burgeoning tech community.
Initially, the city was going to give $115,000 from its fiscal 2017-2018 budget to downtown Orlando co-working space Canvs and tech accelerators FireSpring Fund and Starter Studio. However, after suggestions to the city council in September from Dennis Pape, owner of Orlando co-working space Catalyst and tech accelerator VentureScaleUp, the plans have been revised to view other organizations for funding.
