Orlando lands in top 10 of Inc. Magazine’s best places to start a business in the U.S.


    Orlando ranked as one of the top cities in the U.S. for people to start a business.

    The City Beautiful ranked No. 9 on Inc. Magazine’s best places in America to start a business list. Inc. and innovation policy company Startup Genome put together the Surge Cities Index, which sorts cities on several factors related to growth, including job creation and entrepreneurship.

    Orlando had the No. 1 job creation rate among all cities on the list at a rate of 3.6 percent. It also had the second-highest population growth rate behind Austin, Texas, at 2.3 percent.
