Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Sept. 16 the state government is pursuing initiatives — including regulatory tweaks — to encourage the start up and growth of financial technology, known as fintech, companies in the state. In Central Florida, fintech executives see the proposals as an opportunity to create more qualified workers and relieve the burden on early-stage companies.
