One Spark struggled to get a crowd, but entrepreneurs leave happy

A small turnout of creators, competing events downtown and heavy rain made it hard for One Spark to attract a crowd last weekend.

One Spark advertised in October that it would host 150 creators; after Hurricane Irma caused the event to be delayed until April, only 67 creators participated.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority offered a free shuttle Apr. 6 and 7 based on the expectation that 50,000 people would attend – only 16 people rode the shuttle.
