Fewer than five years after going public, Miami-based financial technology company Net Element Inc. is at risk of being dropped from the Nasdaq.

The mobile payments and transactions processing provider’s latest financial filings reported shareholders’ equity at half a million dollars short of the Nasdaq’s $2.5 million minimum, a violation of Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(b).
