One of Orlando’s most active tech industry organizations, the nonprofit Orlando Tech Inc., will receive public funding to promote the city as a tech hub.
Final approval came Monday to name Orlando Tech as a “district” under the city’s Main Street program. So far, only neighborhoods have been part of the program. The city’s resolution designates Orlando Tech as a digital Main Street, or E-Street.
“Orlando Tech, Inc. will participate in the E-Street Program as a virtual community district with the objective to make Orlando a city where tech companies choose to locate and the digital workforce thrives,” according to the City Council agenda item. Read more here.
