The Research Park at Florida Atlantic University this week reported a 2017 regional economic impact of $535.65 million.

Last year, the 33 high-tech companies based there also raised $387 million in investment capital and sustained 3,088 jobs with average salaries of $88,315.

“An impact of more than half of a billion dollars is meaningful,” said Andrew Duffell, president and CEO of the Research Park at FAU. “The focus going forward is on deepening the intellectual contributions to the economy.”
