Layoffs, streamlining efforts could cost Citrix as much as $100M, filings say

Citrix Systems will take a financial hit of as much as $100 million in the next year amid restructuring efforts that include layoffs and consolidation of facilities as the Fort Lauderdale-based company turns its focus to cloud-based technology.

A company spokesman declined to say how many employees will be terminated and where they are based “out of respect for those impacted,” though corporate filings say Citrix expects to pay out between $55 million and $70 million in employee severance. The technology company has about 8,000 staffers in various cities, including Raleigh, North Carolina, where more than 600 employees are based.
