Jurors for One Spark 2016 announced; they’ll help keep participant quality level high

One Spark festival organizers appointed 18 people to serve as jurors who will select participants in this year’s event and help judge winners in various competitions.

In an effort to streamline the fourth annual festival, organizers already indicated they would reduce the number of “creators” from about 500 to about 300 at this year’s event that will run April 7-9 in roughly a 10-block area of downtown. The newly appointed jurors are tasked with whittling down the number of creators.

“Each of these jurors have a vast wealth of knowledge in their respective fields that will not only ensure a high-quality creator list, but also help those creators refine their pitch and generate more crowdfunding support at the 2016 festival,” said One Spark co-founder and CEO Elton Rivas in a prepared statement Wednesday.
