A Jacksonville businessman was honored Thursday by Gov. Rick Scott. Dane Grey, founder of Elite Parking Service, received the Governor’s Young Entrepreneur Award along with seven people from Gainesville in a ceremony there.
Grey launched Elite Valet from his Jacksonville University dorm room when he was 21. After he graduated, he went to work for Jacksonville International Airport and expanded his own business into Elite Parking Service. Headquartered in downtown Jacksonville, it now has 320 employees that manage parking facilities in airports, residential complexes and government buildings.
