With Florida taking steps to kill the Enterprise Florida— the state’s economic development agency that often works with smaller county agencies — recruitment leaders on the Space Coast will need to find a new way to lure companies to relocate to the Sunshine State.

If economic incentive programs — agreements that offer an expanding or relocating firm tax breaks or cash in return for job creation — are zeroed out, local leaders say they would need to rely heavily on the attraction of our skilled labor pool and and the lower cost of doing business in Florida.
