For Adam Pickett, getting offers from investors at pitch events is half the prize. He’s really after the exposure.

Pickett is co-founder of My One Resource, a cloud-based system that lets users organize and access their personal information anytime, anywhere.

He’s raised more than $600,000 in seed money from angel investors in the past year and recently was named one of 40 semifinalists out of 377 companies in One Million Cups’ nationwide pitch competition, One in a Million. The six-employee firm that started in 2012 has 1,200 users and is part of the VentureScaleup accelerator program. Here’s how he pitches to investors:
