Ed Buckley, CEO of Tampa digital health firm Peerfit, wasn’t sure what would come from a pitch call with Causeway Media Partners on a Friday afternoon in June.
His expectations weren’t all that high. Causeway had reached out to Peerfit by phone, but Peerfit gets about 20 of those calls a week and doesn’t always take them, Buckley said. Plus, it was late in the day, just before the weekend started — a tough time for business to get done.
It’s safe to say the outcome exceeded his expectations.
