How I built my branding company around micro-influencers and subscription boxes

Kristen Wiley‘s life as an entrepreneur has been quite the whirlwind since starting her company Statusphere in January 2017.

From creating a sketch on a napkin in 2016, to participating in Orlando tech accelerators StarterStudio and FireSpring Fund, Wiley’s small branding service company that operates by sending subscription boxes to social media influencers grabbed attention from a San-Francisco-based incubator called Launch and received $100,000 from Launch founder Jason Calacanis in February. Also, Statusphere won the Rollins Venture Pitch Competition in March, securing $25,000.

Now, Wiley’s time is split traveling coast to coast, to San Fransisco from Orlando on Thursdays and Fridays to participate in the 12-week incubator that puts her company in front of investors willing to take a big chance on promising startups
