Co-working spaces are on the rise in Central Florida — especially in downtown Orlando where a new one recently opened and another one will soon begin in June. And apparently, even more co-working space is something that many Central Floridians believe is needed to help grow small businesses in the area.
“We need more incubators, more accelerators and more co-working space,” Gene McCulley, CEO of StackFrame, told a crowd at a tech event held in Seminole County last week. McCulley, in an interview with Orlando Business Journal, said he wished he had options like shared workspace when he first started his company. “There’s a lot of cool benefits that come out of these shared spaces like meet-ups and creative collision. I started in an executive suite and later got a small office space.”
