OneWeb founder Greg Wyler signed a deal in Saudi Arabia on Oct. 26 to provide more than 200,000 homes with internet access — a move that may lead to the company needing more manufacturing space to produce even more satellites. And Florida’s Space Coast may be a good candidate for that.
Wyler, whose company plans to shoot 900 satellites to space to provide 4 billion people with internet service, said the $85 million, 100,000-square-foot manufacturing plant being built in Space Florida’s Exploration Park is just a starting point.
