Here’s when SpaceX and Boeing really will send people into space — but that can change, again

New dates were announced for when SpaceX and Boeing will test launch and, soon after, send NASA astronauts to space. But the timeline is not definite.

Hawthorne, Calif.-based rocket company SpaceX is targeting January for its unmanned test launch for its Crew Dragon Capsule. Originally, the Elon Musk-owned company was scheduled for the test launch in August, but later was changed to November. The test flight temporarily was slated for December, but ultimately was changed to January to accommodate docking opportunities at the orbiting laboratory.
