If local small tech firms are the nerds that are too shy to ask the pretty, popular girls to the dance — i.e., the big, established companies — then consider this upcoming pitch event the cool kid that breaks the ice for them.
Florida TechMatch, an upcoming tech event in early 2016, will help pair small digital media and tech companies with well-established firms. Because small tech firms offer services that are often innovative, those companies can offer special solutions for larger companies.
Carlos Carbonell, CEO of Echo Interaction Group and president of the Orlando Tech Association, is organizing the event. “The idea [for Florida TechMatch] came because typically tech companies are great at developing a product but sometimes not great at marketing and business development,” Carbonell said.
