Investments by the Florida Growth Fund have created 11,125 jobs as of June 30.
Companies receiving investments from the fund made about $86.3 million in capital expenditures between June 30, 2013 and June 30, 2014, according to a new reportfrom the Florida Legislature’s Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability. Since the fund was created in 2009, there’s been $251.7 million in capital investments, the report said.
The Florida Growth Fund invests in technology and high-growth industries, and private equity firms. The State Board of Administration is authorized to invest up to 1.5 percent of Florida Retirement System Trust Fund assets through the fund. Read more here.
