In order to build a more robust health care business community in Central Florida, there’s one ingredient that needs to be added to the mix: marketing.
At an Orlando BioFlorida conference on Oct. 13, four Florida health care and economic development experts shared how marketing can play a key role in the development of the state’s health care business community.
“Florida being a cheap place to live isn’t going to be the winning ticket to attract businesses here,” said panelist Mark Wilson, president and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “This is the place where things are going to happen. We know what we have, but others don’t. It’s a marketing challenge — until we do that well, we won’t pick up the steam we want.”
