Central Florida tech startup entrepreneurs, join us for a virtual breakfast where you bring questions about fundraising, operations, and growth strategy, and we bring our investors’ perspective. As the impact of COVID-19 is on all our minds, this will be a topic of discussion as well.
We will meet via Zoom on Friday April 24th, at 9am to 10am.  If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form. We can accommodate 4 to 6 entrepreneurs at each chat session (we want to keep it small and collaborative!) and will reach out to you directly for call-in details. If you don’t hear from us, it simply means we couldn’t fit everyone in — feel free to re-inquire next session (date TBD).

  • Florida Venture Forum Webinar: Capital Matters, Thursday 11 am to Noon, virtually. Each week this webinar series will feature guests sharing their insights on the venture capital landscape, as well as practical operating advice during the current crisis and beyond.  This session features Scott Moody, founder and CEO of K4Connect, and prior founder and CEO of Authentec, which was acquired by Apple in 2012 for ~$400M and Kevin Burgoyne, president & CEO of the Florida Venture Forum. Scott will share insights on his career as an entrepreneur and CEO, and will also discuss K4Connect’s services for senior living communities, particularly relevant during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Florida Venture Forum and Space Florida Aerospace Innovation and Tech Forum (Part I)

The Florida Venture Forum has selected 20 companies to present at the Aerospace Innovation & Tech Forum via webinar series on May 22, 2020 and May 29, 2020 with prize money award announcements on June 5, 2020. This will be the third annual aerospace-focused event the Forum has hosted in partnership with Space Florida. Ben Patz, Florida Venture Forum board member, head of the event selection committee and managing partner of DeepWork Capital stated, “The Florida Venture Forum and Space Florida have provided a unique opportunity for companies with innovative technical solutions to showcase those solutions virtually. The number of applicants for this event from all around the world has been humbling. This has allowed the selection of a truly diverse mix of companies with innovative and inspirational technologies.” In addition to virtual company presentations and other informational content, the Aerospace Innovation & Tech Forum will provide a total of $100,000 in cash awards presented to three winning companies, courtesy of Space Florida. The series will take place in three segments: company presentations will be featured on May 22 and May 29, and a final event will take place on June 5 to announce the winning companies. The Selection Committee selected a total of twenty aerospace companies covering many aerospace industry sectors. To showcase them, we are hosting a virtual webinar series. Each company will submit their 5 minute recorded presentation and we will follow with a 3 minute Q & A session from the judges. Each session will feature ten companies.

The sessions are for one hour and 1/2:

May 22nd at 11:00 A.M.

May 29th 11:00  A.M.

June 5th 4:00 P.M. is our virtual reception with award announcements – will probably last for 40-45 minutes tops.
